Instagram Caorusel Post#461

Posting more than one image on instagram as a carousel post will be nice..

This is very very nessecary.
As Iam not able to schedule any kind of Carousel post or video through publer to IG

Also being able to post a short (under 60 second) video would be super helpful so I don’t have to do them separeately through Creator Studio

This would also be very useful, the closer functionality we can get to the IG app makes using publer a tool worth using, if you can only use it for half of the time then you start question the long term viability.

On hold due to API limitations.

This can only happen with a mobile app because of Instagram API limitations. The API simply doesn’t allow it.

Can you figure out, how’s hootsuite able to provide this functionality ?

They simply send you a push notification / reminder. They don’t post them automatically for you.

defo need this!! Have to start thinking about using FB Creator Studio when I need to post more than one image. Would be better if we could do it from within publer.

We primarily use desktop, but perhaps you could handoff/push carousels from desktop to the mobile app for a simple ‘Complete Post?’ prompt? Something to think about for the dev cycle.

I recently tested the ‘Social Poster’ Web App on my desktop and Instagram Carousel Posts are enabled and worked fine on this App. So, don’t understand why Publer can’t use the same API, but maybe it is a very recent development…
